I was just thinking about where I’d love to take the family for the Christmas holidays … and I keep circling back to Beaches in Turks and Caicos. With some incredible family suites equipped with separate kids rooms (bunk bed and trundle bed options), the rooms also have refrigerators and microwaves, which are key if you are travelling with an infant or small toddler to store food, formula, and more. And guess what else is in store for the youngins… Sesame Street!
The other thing I like is that the hotels are Sesame Street sponsored. For anyone with kids, that’s an obvious plus to make your children excited and happy. I personally approve of Sesame Street for my own kids, so I can overlook the potential “cheese” factor of Elmo running around the resort for the sake of my own kid’s bliss.
Here are some of the sesame street details:
Bird Watching With Big Bird
Kids can explore colorful birds that live in the Caribbean. They’ll go on a nature walk and learn about habitats. And, they’ll meet Big Bird who will make them official “Birdketeers” by helping them decorate their own feathery headbands and teach them a special dance.
Story Time with Elmo
Listen to a master storyteller weave a spellbinding Caribbean tale which is followed by an appearance by Elmo who’ll interact with the children.
Bake with Cookie Monster
Kids will have a great time mixing cookie batter to be baked by kitchen staff. Cookie Monster will stop by to visit the kids and, of course, enjoy fresh cookies from the oven.
Make Music with Bert & Ernie
Kids will have a memorable time learning to make music. After the kids practice their musical talents, Bert and Ernie will visit the kids for fun and learning.
Dance with Zoe
Join in the fun of learning ring games, line dancing and ribbon dancing. Zoe will make a guest appearance to see the latest steps kids have mastered.
Explore with Grover
Kids can join in on nature walks and scavenger hunts, and learn about plants, rocks and nature. Grover will see what the kids have collected and enjoy all the fun.
Make Number Magic with The Count
From the popular Sesame Street® character famous for making numbers exciting, The Count invites kids to join in on the fun and participate in entertaining counting games.
Discover Magical Treasures with Abby Cadabby
After kids guess from clues to find Abby Cadabby’s magical treasure chest, they get to make one of the their own.
Pretty cute for the kiddies, I’d say…. Parents – what are your thoughts – is a Sesame Street filled vacation what your kids will be talking about for years to come?
