The Arena Gorda beach is rated as one of the best beaches in Punta Cana, with fine white sand and crystal clear water stretching for miles, and right in the midst of it is the Riu Palace Bavaro, one of the leading all-inclusive hotels in the Domincan Republic. This all-inclusive resort has a ton of amenities for any family, with entertainment to keep infants, children, teens, tweens, and adults busy all vacation long.

The most exciting, and brand new feature of the Riu’s in Punta Cana is Splash Water Works, which is a huge facility with water slides for the kids, and lounge chairs near the bars for the adults. For the thrill seekers, the Body Vortex will shoot you to the pool, and the Kamikaze and free-fall slide will make your stomach drop. For the little kids, there is also a children’s only pool and splash pad.

Kids are also going to want to check out RiuLand, where kids ages 4-7 and 8-12 can enjoy special programming designed just for them. The themes at RiuLand include “Games Day”, “Pirate Day”, and “Aqualand”. In the evening there are kids shows with amazing performances and costumes, fun games, and the crowning of Mister and Miss RiuLand. They’ll also get to meet Calú, a friendly sea-turtle and the mascot for RiuLand!

During the day, guests of all ages can take part in dance and fitness classes, sport competitions and games, and in the evening the entertainment staff will put on a variety of shows with singing, dancing, and crowd interaction to get everyone on their feet. After the shows, treat the kids to an ice cream and head back to your room, where there is a mini-bar, coffee machine, and free wifi (though you might not want to tell the kids!).

No matter the age, there will be tons of activities to keep kids and adults entertained all day long!
