Now that the colder weather is really starting to settle in it’s definitely time to start planning your next family adventure. And what better place is there to go than the island in the Caribbean with the highest number of sunny days, Aruba!
The beaches in Aruba are ranked amongst the highest in the world, with their calm crystalline waters and white powdery sand making them the ideal spot for some family fun in the sun. Here are three of our favourite beaches on the beautiful island of Aruba for you and your family to visit.
Baby Beach
Baby Beach is one of the more secluded beaches on the island, so the drive to get there will take you through parts of Aruba that often go unseen by tourists – which is a real shame because it is absolutely stunning! Since this is a manmade lagoon there are some areas that are very shallow, which makes it the ideal spot for anyone with young children or new swimmers. Keep in mind though that since it is a bit more secluded, restaurants in the area are extremely limited to make sure you come prepared with some packed snacks!
Palm Beach
This two mile strip of soft sand is home to many of the high rise hotels on the island. Once you visit, it’s easy to see why so many hotels have chosen this area has their home! It by far has some of the calmest and clearest water in Aruba. There are many beach bars located on Palm Beach, but one of our favourites is Bugaloe Beach Bar & Grill. You’re sure to be entertained by the great live bands and if you’re lucky, you may even have a server who gets in on the music as well! Plus, thanks to its location out on a pier it is an excellent place to enjoy 360 degree views of the infamous Aruban sunsets.
Eagle Beach
Eagle Beach has been ranked in the top ten beaches of the world, and we can honestly say that it 100% deserves its high ranking. This is the beach that is the most regularly featured landscape of the island, with its trademark fofoti trees. Beyond being absolutely stunning, this beach is great for families with older or more active kids because there is so much to do, like banana boat rides and beach tennis. If you’re lucky, you may even get to witness some turtle hatchlings find their way into ocean!
No matter which beaches you visit, a trip to Aruba will certainly be a memorable one for you and your family!
