Family Vacations

Offered across the Rosewood collection of hotels and resorts, the innovative and educational Rose Buds® program provides Rosewood’s youngest guests with special services, amenities and activities designed for parents’ convenience and children’s fun. For a family-friendly luxury vacation, Rose Buds offers activities that engage, entertain and delight.

For younger children, a range of special experiences teaches them about the natural environment, wildlife, food, music and art in the locations. Each program, inspired by the Montessori Method of teaching, is also guided by the brand’s signature A Sense of Place philosophy and integrates native culture, customs, nature and history.

For older kids, Rose Buds offers a selection of age-appropriate adventures that engage their curiosity and encourage them to learn about and interact with their new environment. These can range from nature tours, local cooking classes and creating music with native instruments to observing the miracle of life along a shoreline, amidst a forest or even in a desert.

Every Rosewood property is fully equipped with essential children’s items, from portable cribs, proper bedding, baby baths, diaper pails, monitors and bottle warmers to bibs, booster seats, car seats, prams and specialty items such as luxury robes, slippers and skincare products especially designed for our youngest guests.

Here’s a sampling of the Rosebuds programming across the Caribbean and Mexico. They have the following fabulous hotels to choose from and we’ve highlighted some details from the Rose Buds program at a few resorts.

Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda, BVI

The Rose Buds program at Rosewood Little Dix Bay reflects Caribbean culture and a commitment to environmental protection. At the Children’s Center, Caribbean folk art and literature are center stage and themed activities are enhanced by a miniature Caribbean chattel house and shipwreck. Outdoor activities include nature walks and treasure hunts to reveal Little Dix’s natural beauty.

Jumby Bay, Antigua

Jumby Island is a magical place for children of all ages to discover more about nature, especially through its notable Hawksbill Turtle Program. Kids can actively participate in the conservation program, and go turtle watching from June through November. Year-round Camp Jumby has outdoor activities and creative programs for three- to 12-year-old children and the resort offers a host of complimentary water sports.

Rosewood Tucker’s Point, Bermuda

Rosewood Tucker’s Point is an extraordinary destination for a family vacation. With so many things to do and see on the island of Bermuda and an array of leisure activities and programs, everyone in the family will take home memories of a lifetime. Rose Buds™ summer programs for children aged four to 12 include tennis, golf and cooking lessons plus swimming sessions and day trips.

Rosewood Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, Mexico

Children love the adventure of staying in an over-water suite at Rosewood Mayakoba or traveling around the resort and mangroves by boat. At the Toolok Kid’s Club children aged three to 12 years join in fun-filled age-appropriate beach activities, Mayan-themed arts and crafts, and nature walks. Family excursions include exploring Mayan ruins in Tulum or Xcaret eco-archeological park.

Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Learning about art, artists and traditional Mexican crafts is a fun hands-on experience at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. Whether painting or making piñatas, papier-mâché masks, jewelry and more, creativity is inspired by the artistic traditions of this historic town. Rose Buds also offers a host of other activities for children and all year round families can join vibrant local festivals.
